UK-Iranian National Arrested in Iran
June 16 , 2016
A British-Iranian dual citizen has been arrested on April 3 and is kept in Karman Prison in the South-east Iran. Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe is a project coordinator working with Thomson Reuters Foundation, and is kept away from her family. She was arrested at the airport while traveling with her 22-month-old daughter, who is a British national. Her daughter is staying with Nazanin's parents in Tehran. Her husband has launched a petition seeking British Prime Minister, David Cameron and Iran's Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei's help to set his wife free. Iran does not approve dual citizenship and has imprisoned many dual nationals.
