UK House of Commons Speaker John Bercow Warns PM Boris Johnson about No-Deal Brexit

  • The outgoing Speaker of the UK House of Commons, John Bercow, has asked PM Boris Johnson not to ignore the law and stop implementing the no-deal Brexit on October 31, 2019. While warning Boris he went on to say that a no-deal Brexit will tantamount to “robbing a bank”. For circumventing legislation, Bercow pledged to use “additional procedural creativity” for thwarting attempt of circumventing legislation. At the request of Boris Johnson, the parliament has been suspended for 5 weeks. The new legislation makes it compulsory for the British PM to deliver Brexit if the UK parliament fails to reach a deal by October 19, 2019.
