UK: Commuters use bus, boat services as strikes hit London Underground
July 10 , 2015
Strikes by Tube and train staff have disrupted the London Underground network, with the entire network being forced to shut down and several rail services cancelled.
Tens of thousands of commuters used bus and boat services, and long queues were seen in the city. The unions are striking over salaries and night services.
Steve Griffiths, the chief operating officer of London Underground, said they were “ready to talk at any time to sort out this dispute”.
