August 2 , 2015
Britain and France have called upon other EU nations to help in addressing the root causes of the migrant crisis in Calais.
In an article in the Sunday Telegraph, UK Home Secretary Theresa May and France’s Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve described the situation as a “global migration crisis”.
Migrants are making daily attempts to cross the Channel from Calais. The two countries have agreed to step up measures to prevent migrants from entering the Channel Tunnel.
