Typhoon Neoguri lashes south Japan

A powerful typhoon struck Okinawa in south Japan, with strong winds and huge waves hitting the islands.
Residents near the coast had to be evacuated and airports were shut as typhoon Neoguri made its way through Okinawa, with wind speeds of 108 miles per hour, according to the Meteorological department.
One woman was reportedly injured in the storm and a fisherman was untraceable after being swept off a vessel near Kyushu island.
