Twin bombs kill 23 in Beirut

An al-Qaeda linked group has admitted to have been behind the twin suicide bombings in Beirut, which killed 23 people including one Iranian diplomat. The bombs carried out by Abdullah Azzam Brigades went off outside the Iranian Embassy and the group said it will continue to attack in the same way till Hezbollah discontinues its military support for Syrian president Bashar al-Assad.
The blasts left bodies and blood on the street in the neighborhood of Janah. According to an official, the first suicide bomber had 4.4 pounds of explosives on him and the second one, driving a car carried 110 pounds.
The blasts were two minutes apart and the second one was 10 yards away from the first.
