Twin blasts in Baghdad kills 12

Two separate bomb blasts killed at least 12 people in the city of Baghdad. According to the Amaq news agency, ISIS is behind the larger blast on the security checkpoint in the northern al-Husseiniya district which killed nine and wounded 28 others. There is no claim on the second blast which targeted army convoy in Arab al-Jabour in which three people were killed and 11 others wounded. The Iraqi government have reclaimed the western cities of Ramadi and Hit and pushed the militants towards Syrian border. The security situation in the area is improving.
