Turkish soldiers die in clash with Kurdistan Workers Party

Six military personnel were killed in a clash with Kurdish rebel group near the town of Cukurca, in the Turkish province of Hakkari. As per reports, two pilots were killed when a helicopter sent to the area to support the soldiers crashed near the country’s border with Iraq. Around six rebels also died in the fighting. Altercation between PKK and Government forces broke out after two years of the collapse of the peace treaty. The rebel linked attacks have killed more than 400 personnel till date.
