Turkish president questions Obama's silence over murder of Muslim students in US

  • Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan has questioned President Obama’s silence over the killing of three young Muslims in the US state of North Carolina.

He said if political leaders like Obama, US vice-president Joe Biden and US secretary of state John Kerry stay silent when an incident like this occurs “the world will stay silent towards you”.

Meanwhile, the funeral of the three North Carolina State University students was attended by over 5,000 people in Chapel Hill.

Officials say there is no evidence so far that Deah Shaddy Barakat, his wife Yusor Mohammad and Yusor’s sister Razan were murdered because of their religion.
