Turkey ousts 350 cops altogether
January 8 , 2014
Analysts believe that Turkey's Prime Minister ousted 350 police officers altogether in an attempt to cancel the investigation regarding corruption against him.
The affected officers include 80 senior officers and directors in addition to those who come from terrorism, fiscal crime and organized crime units.
BBC reports that the country's top court said it will investigate allegations against the ousted officers. According to CNN, the interior minister's son was found in possession of large amount of cash as well as a month counting machine last month. The scandal has grown since then and over four Cabinet ministers have been forced to submit their resignations.
