Turkey bomb attack: PM Ahmet Davutoglu promises to boost border security
July 21 , 2015
Turkey’s Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu has pledged to step up security along the Syrian border after a deadly bomb blast in Suruc town killed 30 people.
The police believe that a female suicide bomber linked to the Islamic State may have carried out the attack, targeting a group of young people who were planning to cross the border into Kobane and help rebuild the devastated town.
Kobane has seen fierce clashes between Islamic State militants and Kurdish fighters.
