Trump's Tweet on North Korean Sanctions Baffles All

  • On Friday, the US President Donald Trump rattled everyone by tweeting that he had “ordered the withdrawal” of “additional large-scale sanctions” on North Korea. Some believe that he might have meant that no new large-scale sanctions will be imposed on DPRK. However, some US administration sources also reportedly believed that the US President implied a reversal of measures against two Chinese shipping companies. The media approached Trump administration regarding their response to Trump’s tweet. White House spokesperson Sarah Sanders said, “President Trump likes Chairman Kim and he doesn’t think these sanctions will be necessary.” However, she too didn’t specify which sanctions the US President Donald Trump spoke of.
