Trump-Russia Investigation: Senate Committee Issues Subpoena for Michael Flynn
May 10 , 2017
As per reports, a subpoena for former national security adviser Michael Flynn was issued by the Senate intelligence committee on Wednesday. It was reportedly a part of the investigation on the Trump camp’s ties to Russia.
As mentioned by the senate panel, the subpoena was for documents that are related to the inquiry into Russian interference in the 2016 US presidential election.
Investigations are being conducted by the FBI and the Senate and House intelligence committees each, to find out potential links between associates of Donald Trump and the Kremlin.
The Senate intelligence committee stated that a request was made to Flynn on April 28 for documents related to its Russia investigation, but he refused to cooperate through his counsel. A deadline of May 9 was given to him, in order to submit the documents in question.
