Trump new vetting in US prompts Google to recall staff
January 28 , 2017
In wake of the new vetting from US President Donald Trump, Google has recalled its staff members travelling to the US. The latest executive order by Trump restricts entry for nationals of seven Muslim-majority countries. Moreover, Syrian refugees are restricted from entry in the US until further notice.
In a conversation with BBC, Google has expressed its concern about the order and any measures which could block great talent from the US.
Though Trump said that this measure would keep “radical Islamic terrorists” at bay, the rights groups have condemned the move stating that there is no link between Syrian refugees in the US and terrorism.
