Trump Attacks Sessions with Attorney Comment

  • In what seems like the most severe attack from Trump on Jeff Sessions, the US president has said in a statement that he doesn't have an attorney general. In a TV interview, he criticized Sessions for his pulling back from the case of Russian interference in the 2016 elections. He added that he was unhappy with his response on the subject of immigration. Sessions is yet to comment on Trumps' remarks.

Last month, too, Trump criticized Session and two of the key Republicans stated that they would support Trump if he fired Sessions in the election of November mid-term. However, other Republicans are of the opinion that firing him would turn out to be a bad move.
