Trump Administration to End Temporary Protected Status of Hondurans in the USA on Jan 5, 2020
May 5 , 2018
Around 57,000 Hondurans have been subjected to deportation from the United States after Trump administration has reportedly said that the Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for immigrants from Honduras in the USA will end on January 5, 2020. Honduras government has regretted the US government’s decision and went on to offer free legal and consular support to the Hondurans, currently staying in the US. Honduras ambassador to the USA, Marlon Tabora, has said that if the Honduran immigrants in the USA decide returning to their native land after staying in the US for 20 years, it’ll not be an easy task to re-integrate them.
