Three lost their lives in Afghanistan Taliban clash

  • Two police personnel and a civilian lost their lives after Taliban militants launched an attack in Kunduz province, northern Afghanistan on Friday night, January 2, according to media reports. The ambush took place in the absence of the police personnel from a security check point in the district of Shahram Kotal, north of the Kunduz province. The district governor, Amanuddin Qurishi, said that two Afghan Local Police (ALP) officers named Mahwan Khal Bai and Mohammad Saddiq were killed in the gunfight in the district of Imam Shaib.

    It has been reported that over the past few months, the Taliban has augmented attacks as the Afghan Officials are shouldering the responsibility for safety in the country.
