Three atomic bomb survivors to attend Hiroshima events for Obama visit

  • On Friday, President Barack Obama will become the first incumbent leader of the United States to visit Hiroshima, the site of the first atomic bombing. At least three atomic bomb survivors will be attending an event in the city. Obama said that he would honor all those people who were killed in WW2 but will not apologize or address the debate on whether the dropping of atomic bombs on Hiroshima on August 6, 1945, and on Nagasaki three days later was justified.
