Theresa May Asks G7 to Back Moves to Tackle Online Extremism

  • As per reports, Theresa May, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, will urge G7 to put pressure on companies such as Facebook and Google as the fight against Isis is shifting from the ‘battlefield to the internet. Reports suggest that Theresa May is expected to urge the world's leading industrial nations to come together to pressurize tech companies to remove “harmful” extremist content from the web.

    G7 meeting is taking place on Friday in Italy, Taormina, on the cliffs of eastern Sicily.
