The US slaps sanctions on Maduro following election in Venezuela
August 1 , 2017
The Federal Government of the US has placed a number of sanctions on Nicolas Maduro, the newly elected President of Venezuela. In the latest election conducted in the South American country a fresh legislative body has been elected in order to draft the Constitution of Venezuela again. However, the US has described this election to be a shambolic one. Maduro has however praised the election held on July 30 as the choice of people of Venezuela. The country itself is in a bad state and Maduro hopes to recast it dramatically.
