The US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo's Tour to North Korea Shelved for Now

  • The US President Donald Trump has asked the US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to shelve trip to North Korea for now as there was insufficient progress in dismantling of Pyongyang's nuclear program. IAEA, the United Nation’s nuclear agency, has said that DPRK is carrying on with its nuclear program. Unnamed US officials have also reportedly said that Pyongyang is building new intercontinental ballistic missiles. The announcement comes just a week before Pompeo was all set to visit North Korea along with his special envoy Stephen Biegun. In a tweet, the US President has also taken a swipe on China for not doing enough to put pressure on DPRK.
