Thai police investigate twin blasts at Bangkok shopping mall
February 2 , 2015
The Thai police are investigating two blasts near a Bangkok shopping mall on Sunday that injured one person.
According to police sources, the homemade bombs, which exploded on a walkway that links a train line to the Paragon mall, were not designed to kill.
The blast, which is the first such incident after the military coup of May 2014, happened after the impeachment of ex-prime minister Yingluck Shinawatra.
Ordering security to be stepped up in the capital, Thailand's prime minister Prayuth Chan-ocha said that the incident showed that "we still need martial law.”
