Texas Senate votes in favour of curbing access of transgenders to public bathrooms
July 26 , 2017
The Texas Senate, controlled by the Republican Party, has given preliminary consent to a bill that would be restricting the access of transgenders to public bathrooms. This happened on July 25. As may be expected in such cases, advocates of civil liberties in the region have denounced the legislation and termed it to be a discriminatory one. It is possible that the senate will finally approve the bill by July 26. The measure is then expected to be sent over to the State House of Representatives for further action.
