'Terrorist ideology' led to killing of Canadian soldier
October 22 , 2014
A 25-year-old man who had recently converted to Islam rammed his car into two soldiers in Canada, killing one of them, according to media reports. The suspect, identified as Martin Couture Rouleau, was later shot and killed by the Quebec police.
Steven Blaney, Canada’s public safety minister, said the “terrible act of violence” had clear links to “terrorist ideology.”
Of the two Canadian soldiers, one was in uniform, the police said. The military official who died was identified as 53-year-old Patrice Vincent.
