September 21 , 2014
In coordinated killings on Friday, militants in Libya’s eastern capital of Benghazi killed at least ten people including two peace activists and army officers, media reports said.
The assassinations come at a time when a civil war-like situation prevails in Libya, with Islamists in control of Tripoli.
According to the United Nations, at least 250,000 civilians have fled the fighting.
The two peace activists who were murdered on Friday were Tawfik Ben Saud and Sami Elkawafi, both teenagers.
