Technology firms must fight online jihadist material: Cameron
November 14 , 2014
Britain’s Prime Minister David Cameron has said that technology companies need to do more to fight online jihadist material, according to media reports.
Addressing both houses of parliament in Australia, he called for a united response from UK and Australia in the fight against terrorism.
He said technology firms had to discharge their social responsibility and the internet should not be allowed to become a space that is ungoverned.
He said he was pushing British firms to improving their “reporting mechanisms and being more proactive” among other steps.
