Taliban leader killed in US air strike

  • A US drone has killed Taliban leader Mullah Mansoor in Pakistan's the Balochistan province. Authorities said that his death will have an overhauling effect on the US-Pakistani relations. According to John Kerry, US Secretary of State, Mansoor was a perpetual threat to the US personnel in Afghanistan, the civilians of Afghanistan and the Afghan security forces. Mansoor was opposed to any peace negotiations and also to reconciliation process.  With his death, Kerry said Afghans could stop fighting and build a real future together.
