Taliban insurgents arrested over Peshawar attack

  • Five members of the Tehreek-e-Taliban, including some believed to be responsible for last month’s Peshawar school massacre, have been arrested in Afghanistan on Monday, January 12, according to media reports.

A Pakistani army official said that three of the men may have been involved in the horrific attack on December 16 on Army Public School that killed more than 130 students, many of them children of army personnel.

The killings shocked Pakistan and the country’s leadership vowed to defeat the terrorists.
