Taiwan plane crash: Rescuers search for missing people; 31 confirmed dead

  • Rescue workers continue to search for 12 missing people at the site of the crashed TransAsia plane in Taiwan as the death toll has risen to 31.

    The plane plunged into Keelung River near capital Taipei on Wednesday morning.

    Fifteen survivors were rescued from the wreckage and a crane pulled out the fuselage that was partially submerged in the river.  

    The pilot and co-pilot are among the dead. More than 30 passengers on board were from mainland China.
