Tabloid hacked phones of William and Kate
December 20 , 2013
Prosecutors said Rupert Murdoch's 'News of the World' hacked phones of the members of the British royal family.
Voicemails from Kate Middleton's phone were heard by the court, including two in which William calls Kate "baby" and "babykins".
Not all voicemails were as cheerful: William informed Kate in one of them about how he was nearly shot while going through military training: "I had a busy day today again. I've been running around the woods of Aldershot chasing shadows and getting horribly lost, and I walked into some other regiment's ambush, which was slightly embarrassing because I nearly got shot. Not by live rounds but by blank rounds, which would have been very embarrassing, though."
In total, the private investigator recorded about eight of their messages. The trail is adjourned until Jan. 6.
