Syrian air strikes kill 30

  • Syrian air strikes killed more than 30 people, mostly women and children, in the Deir al-Asafir district southeast of Damascus. The air strikes came despite the "cessation of hostilities” that lasted a month between Syrian government forces and the opposition forces, excluding the Islamic State and al-Qaeda's Nusra Front. Two of the strikes hit the outskirts and other seven hit the Bala village, north of  Deir al-Asafir. The area is controlled by different factions of opposition forces such as Jaish al-Islam, as well as Nusra Front that are covered in truce. Both the US state department and France have condemned the strikes that were directed at civilians in the strongest terms.
