Syrian air force bombs Aleppo town, 28 killed
July 12 , 2015
At least 28 people, most of them civilians, have been killed in a bombing raid by the Syrian military on Al-Bab town, activists say.
According to the UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the bombs used by the regime -- in the attack on the Islamic State-held town in the northern Aleppo province -- were much more destructive than the barrel bombs that have been used in the past.
The Bashar al-Assad regime’s war planes have frequently bombed Al-Bab. Besides, the US led-coalition against the Islamic State has targeted the militant group in the town.
