Syria: Islamic State claims responsibility for Homs bombing
December 13 , 2015
The Islamic State (Isis) has claimed responsibility for a bomb attack that killed at least 16 people in Syria’s government-controlled Homs city.
A few days ago Islamist rebels had started evacuating the area following a ceasefire agreement with the government.
“Abu Ahmed al-Homsi (an Isis fighter) parked his car in the Zahra neighbourhood and exploded it among the 'rafidis' (a derogatory term for Shia Muslims) before detonating his explosives belt,” the Islamic State said in a statement.
