Syria Accuses Israel of Bombarding area in Damascus
January 13 , 2017
Israel has been accused by Syria of bombarding an area of Damascus. Reportedly, a military airport has been hit. Several rockets landed in the Mezzeh airport premises. Ambulances were seen rushing to the airport.
The alleged bombardment caused fire, but report of any casualty is still unclear.
The army warned Israel of the consequences of the flagrant attack.
Previously, the Israeli government neither confirmed nor denied of any attack it carried out in Syria. In December, Israel targeted the same airport is Syria, caused fires but there was no casualty. Earlier in November, Israeli jets had fired missiles into Syria from Lebanese airspace, hitting Sabboura, an area outside Damascus.
