A 25-year-old Swedish woman has been awarded $18 million by a federal jury in the US in a case of sexual coercion and stalking.
The woman, Hanna Bouveng, had sued Benjamin Wey, her former Wall Street boss, for using his clout and power to coerce her into sexual encounters and later firing her when he discovered that she had a boyfriend.
The Manhattan jury awarded Bouveng $2 million in compensatory damages and $16 million in punitive damages.
