Suspected terror offences: 5 men arrested in south Wales
December 5 , 2014
The UK police have arrested five men in Wales for suspected terror offences, according to media reports.
The men, in the age group of 19 to 32, were detained in Cardiff and Barry by the South Wales police in connection to support of organizations that are banned.
Two people have also been arrested separately in London by the counter-terrorism police.
Nikki Holland, the south Wales police assistant chief constable, said the cooperation of local communities was vital to “tackle radicalization and extremism effectively.” She said the police’s links with religious communities remained “strong and constructive.”
