Suspect Trying to Blow up Grand Mosque in Mecca Killed

Saudi Arabia’s Interior Ministry has said over state-run television that their security forces have successfully prevented an imminent attack on Masjid al-Haram, also known as the Grand Mosque in Mecca (the largest Mosque of the world that surrounds Kaaba – holiest site of Islam). Reports say that the suspect planning an attack on the Grand Mosque was surrounded by the security forces in a home. He was asked to surrender but the person refused and opened fire on the security forces. He latter blew himself up, causing partial collapse of the building and injuring 6 expatriates. 5 suspects, have been arrested.
