Survivors of Iran earthquake make pleas for help

  • Iranians are making desperate pleas for help. Following a destructive earthquake near the Iran-Iraq border, which killed around 440 people and injured some 7,000, thousands of Iranians have been left homeless and are living outdoors in extremely cold temperatures. Government is trying to provide aid to the Kermanshah province which has been badly affected by the earthquake. President Hassan Rouhani who visited the region said that the earthquake caused more damage to state built houses and stated that people responsible would be held accountable
