A suicide bomb attack near a girls’ school in Quetta in southwest Pakistan’s Balochistan province killed at least five people and injured many more.
Officials said a suicide bomber blew himself up close to the school. The injured were taken to two hospitals.
Balochistan chief minister Malik Baloch said the attack was a conspiracy against the province’s people, and those behind the blast would be apprehended. He said the authorities will “not bow down before terrorists”.
