Stabbing Attack in Finnish City Turku leaves 2 Dead and 6 Injured, Suspect Arrested

A person with knife stabbed 2 people to death and injured 8 others at a market square in Turku (former capital of Finland and a business-culture hub). Police is reportedly not yet clear on motive of the attack and are not treating the incident as an act of terrorism. Police shot the suspect in the thigh and took him into custody. At the time of attack police asked people to avoid Turku’s city centre but took of restrictions few hours later. Interior Minister Paula Risikko told media that they are yet to confirm identification of the suspect and have contacted “immigration service as the person looks like a foreigner”.
