Special Counsel Robert Mueller's Office Calls BuzzFeed News Report Inaccurate

  • Office of Special Counsel Robert Mueller said on Friday that disputed media reports saying that the US President Donald Trump asked his ex-lawyer to lie before the US Congress regarding his real estate deal in Moscow. Mueller’s office reportedly disputed a report of BuzzFeed News. The concerned report published on late Thursday claimed that Trump’s ex-lawyer Michael Cohen told investigators (working for Mueller) about being instructed by Trump to lie about the plans of building a skyscraper in Moscow at the time when he was running for the US Presidential election in 2016. A spokesperson for Mueller, Peter Carr, made it clear that Michael Cohen’s Congressional testimony regarding the concerned matter is "not accurate”.
