Spain's health minister Ana Mato resigns
November 27 , 2014
Ana Mato, the health minister of Spain, has resigned after she was accused by a judge of having benefited from illicit payments, according to media reports.
Jesus Sepulveda, her former husband, has been linked to a major corruption case that involves the ruling People's Party.
A court indicated in a ruling that Mato was, however, not aware of any possible crime.
Though she is not an official suspect, she may have to attend court hearings.
