Spain Orders Killing 100,000 Minks After Many Of them Tested Coronavirus Positive

  • After a farm employee's wife tested positive for Covid-19, minks were tested in the Aragon province to find that many of them are Coronavirus positive. The reports show that 87% of the mink were infected, health authorities ordered for all 92,700 of the semi-aquatic animals to be culled. Financial compensation will be given that runs the farm which is based in a village 200 km (125 miles) east of Madrid. Aragon province is also one of the Coronavirus hotspots in Spain where more than 250,000 infection and 28,000 fatalities reported so far.
