South Sudan Rebel leader may pick up arms again

  • Gen Johnson Oloni, a leading rebel leader in South Sudan said that he will have to pick up arms again. As per media reports, the rebel leader may be forced to do so in spite of a peace agreement signed around six months ago. Oloni said the government was undermining the peace agreement by its plans to redraw the state’s boundaries and also carrying out attacks on civilians. Since the civil war began in 2013, thousands of people have been killed and millions displaced.
