South Korean President Pledges to Work Closely with North Korea and USA to Reach Denuclearization Deal
March 2 , 2019
South Korean President Moon Jae-in has vouched to work closely with both the United States and North Korea for helping them reach a denuclearization deal. The statement comes a day after the well-awaited US-North Korean summit in Vietnam collapsed over US-sanctions related disagreements. During a speech in Seoul, South Korean President said: “My administration will closely communicate and cooperate with the United States and North Korea so as to help their talks reach a complete settlement by any means”. Moon Jae-in is highly active in putting an end to the decade's old confrontation in the Korean peninsula. In 2018, he met his North Korean counterpart Kim Jong Un thrice for facilitating the North Korean denuclearization deal with the USA.
