South Korean ferry owner's death remains a puzzle
July 25 , 2014
Forensic officials in South Korea have said they could not determine the cause of death of Yoo Byung-eun, the businessman-owner blamed for the ferry disaster in April that killed over 300 people.
Byung-eun’s body was identified last week.
Seo Joong-seok, director of the National Forensic Service, said it was “impossible” to determine the cause of death as the body was “in a very advanced stage of decomposition.”
The forensic agency has, however, ruled out poison or drugs.
