South and North Korea agree to second round of talks
August 23 , 2015
The two Koreas have agreed to a second round of negotiations after a night-long round of talks did not resolve the crisis that has pushed them dangerously close to armed conflict.
Min Kyung-wook, the South Korean presidential spokesperson, said the second round of talks with North Korea in the border village of Panmunjom would attempt to “narrow down differences”.
Earlier, a North Korean deadline calling for Seoul to halt its propaganda broadcasts in the border area expired.
