April 19 , 2015
Jacob Zuma, the South African president, visited a refugee camp in Durban which has seen anti-immigrant violence in the past few weeks.
The attacks against foreigners have killed at least six people in the port city, and the violence has spread to other areas too.
Zuma said the violence was against the country’s values and promised to bring it to an end.
The estimates of the number of foreign nationals in South Africa vary from two million to five million.
