South Africa: Leftist MPs question Zuma over spending scandal, disrupt parliament
February 13 , 2015
There were chaotic scenes in the South African parliament on Thursday as leftist legislators scuffled with guards during President Jacob Zuma's state of the union address.
MPs of the Economic Freedom Fighters party interrupted the presidential speech several times, asking for answers over a spending controversy involving Zuma.
The scuffles broke out when the Speaker ordered their removal.
The Democratic Alliance, the main opposition party, registered its protest at the expulsion by walking out.
