South Africa: Cyril Ramaphosa becomes the President


  • Cyril Ramaphosa becomes the new President of South Africa after the resignation of Jacob Zuma. Cyril Ramaphosa, head of the ruling African National Congress was the only candidate nominated by the party. In his first presidential speech, Mr. Ramaphosa said he would focus on tackling the corruption which became widespread under Mr. Zuma.
